Creating Easter Baskets for Tweens is difficult. They too old for stuffed bunnies and cute baby toys. In fact, they often act as though they are already 16 and world-weary, already.

At the same time, they still want to be kids. They still want to believe in the Easter Bunny, have the fun of hunting for eggs and getting a basket of candy and gifts. After a few weeks of observation, I came up with 10 ideas of gift ideas perfect for tween Easter baskets.

Girl Gifts

1. Jewelry is a great gift choice for tween girls. The She Believed, So She Did – Unicorn Necklace is super cute and inspirational. Tween and early teens is an awkward age for girls. An inspirational necklace to believe in her dreams is just right for this age group. And who doesn’t love unicorns? They are so very popular right now.

2. We go through about 6 million Pony Tail Bands each month. I wish I was kidding. I always give at least one packet of these things to my daughter every holiday. The Spring Colors Pony Tail Bands will give her a bit of spring color in her wardrobe. If anyone knows where these things go after being worn once, please let me know. My current theory is that they’re partying it up with the missing dryer socks… but I could be wrong.

3. By the time Spring rolls around, those Back to School backpacks are faded, stained and worn. The Emoji Drawstring Back Pack is practical and will get my daughter through the rest of the school year.

Boy Gifts

4   My son loves rocks. He’s got a huge rock collection and loves Geodes. He loves pounding them open with the hammer and finding the crystals inside. At the year least, it’ll be an hour of distraction that isn’t electronic. At his age, that’s very hard to find.

5. It’s not a holiday unless you have at least one toy that’s been heavily advertised on TV and promises to this month’s fad. Rocket Copters fit that bill to a T. You shoot them into the air using a slingshot. In the air, the propellers release and the twisting of them powers the light bulbs inside the handle. The advertisements promise the light can be seen from half a mile away. They are pretty fun and the UFO sightings increased in our neighborhood by 10!

For Any Tween

6. What kid wouldn’t love to see Mom and Dad eating “ear wax” or “vomit” flavored candy? The Bean Boozled game does just that and then serves up another mystery flavor. Yum!

7. My kids have picked up my habit of reading in bed. They, usually, end the day with reading before going to sleep. A book light is perfect for that or to take on summer camping trips.

8. Every teen and tween has a set of earbuds wrapped around their head. It is standard for daily life… or at least that’s what I’ve been told after the latest pair gave up the ghost. A new pair Ear Buds in an Easter Basket will definitely be appreciated and used.

9. Even tween Easter Baskets have to include a bunch of candy. Unicorn Farts is packaged cotton candy. It’s a fun idea and for a generation raised thinking that the poop emoji is super cute and wearable, it’s a sweet idea.

10. When my kids were little, coloring books were always in their baskets. Now that they’re old, they’ve outgrown those simplistic “Peter Cottontail” style coloring books. I found this Complex Easter Coloring Book with more difficult patterns and outlines to let their creativity flow. The finished products will be really artistic.
